Join likeminded-folk at a regional get-together. An informal day of connecting with people from around the country involved in placemaking. Everyone’s welcome!
Thursday 4 November, 5.30pm – dinner [optional]
For those coming in the night before, you are invited to a dinner hosted by Helen Kirlew-Smith on Thursday 4 November at 5:30pm. This is an opportunity to meet others from around the region and hear about Wellington’s regional placemaking work.
The dinner option will only occur if we have sufficient interest, we would love to hear from you and please note, this is at the attendees expense.
The 5th of November will be our interactive day with a mixture of presentations, workshops and discussions.
Friday 5 November, 9am – 4pm
It will be an interactive day with a mixture of presentations, workshops/discussions.
Isaac Velasco, Hutt City Council’s Urban Design Lead will share a project from his work in Mexico. He will run a workshop on participatory design for Hutt City and there will also be time for general placemaking discussions.
The day will finish at 4pm with social drinks.
There is also a little piece of homework for attendees as part of the day which we will send you in advance.
Venue
The venue is the youth space at:
Hutt Baptist Church at 132-146 High Street.
Transport
All-day parking as available in the Riverbank Carpark.
Public transport from Wellington includes Woburn Station or Melling Station. Buses into Lower Hutt stop on Queens Drive, Queensgate Mall. Most options are a short walk into High Street.
