Archived: Placemaking Week 2019 Tāmaki Makaurau

Welcome everyone to Placemaking Week Tāmaki Makaurau 2019! Wow what an exciting couple of weeks we have had, launching the 2019 Placemaking Kits, connecting with local placemakers, and hosting the first of the placemaking workshops. We are also beavering away behind the scenes to bring you a launch event, placemaking by night, and a little Placemaking Week challenge so we have lots to share with you over the next few weeks. 

First up, the kits! Full of goodies to help you develop placemaking ideas for Placemaking Week (and beyond), these have been updated by The Open Fort and are now out there all over the city! (Update: Find the updated version of the kit here).

Place Leaders are hosting the kits across Tamaki Makaurau, and you can borrow the kits directly from them if you have a place you think could do with a bit of love or placemaking ideas that need a bit of refining. Contact Catalyse to learn more.

If you want to join in but don’t want to develop something yourself, join the Facebook Group and let people know what you are up for - there are several groups looking for team members. Similarly, if you are on the lookout for skills or resources for your activation, let us know, or post to the Facebook Group.
